Directional Signage for Rivington Hall Barn

Set in the beautiful Lancashire countryside, Rivington Hall Barn is a stunning historic venue surrounded by scenic walks, winding lanes, and woodlands.

We recently had the pleasure of designing and making a series of directional signs for Rivington Hall Barn, aimed at improving navigation across the site and the surrounding access points. Whether it’s a wedding guest trying to find the venue, a cyclist on the go, or a first-time visitor looking for parking, clear signage makes all the difference.

Countryside-Friendly Design

Since the signs are placed in a rural setting, we took special care to ensure they blend naturally into the environment. We used durable materials suited to the outdoors, and opted for a style that complements the barn’s rustic charm.

Function First – With Style

The main goal of the project was to improve wayfinding — making it easier for people to get to the barn and around the grounds. The signs include clear, simple wording and arrows to point visitors in the right direction, from main road junctions to smaller footpaths and parking areas.

Every sign was placed with purpose and visibility in mind. We considered factors like approach angles, distance readability, and line of sight — especially important in a countryside setting where hedges and trees can easily obscure a sign.

A Small Detail That Makes a Big Difference

While signage might seem like a small part of the visitor experience, it plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, stress-free arrival. Whether someone is attending a wedding or just stopping by the tea room, we want their journey to be smooth and enjoyable from the moment they turn into the lane.

We’re proud to have contributed something functional yet fitting to such a special location.
